Our dog’s is named Toba, and he is 36 lbs as of last week. He has turned out to be a great dog for us. He is smart, very mellow for a puppy (and everybody who spends time with him comments on that), and has proven to be pretty easily trained. He picks things up very fast.
We took him to British Columbia in September and went sailing for a month. He did really great on the boat, and it reflects the fact that he has been a really adaptable dog that goes with the flow and does well travelling. He gets, and needs, lots of exercise because, while otherwise very mellow in disposition, he is a goldendoodle puppy and needs exercise and play, so we planned our trip on the boat around the exercise opportunities that were offered ashore each day. This was a great deal of fun, and he met lots of people and other dogs along the way.
He is not an alpha dog, which is just fine by us as our last dog played that part very much. He gets along well with other dogs, and that is quite refreshing. He is a little timid, and sometimes I wish he wasn't, but after having a dog that chased an adult bear up a tree, a dog that is scared of a deer standing in the driveway is, again, maybe the better side of the beam to stand on.
I don't know what else to say. While I don't want to understate the role that both my wife and I played in his development and training, I feel like we kind of won the lotto. To what extent this is a reflection of the pairing between Majesty and Palmer, I don't know, but my hunch is that his genetic heritage is a big part in him being such a great dog for us.
Thanks!

Rooster

We LOVE Rooster!! He is just the sweetest boy and has been such a joy. We are so happy that we found you guys and now have Rooster in our lives. Rooster is 44lbs. He is very smart and was very easy to potty train; he uses the bell to tell us when he needs to go out and helped teach his puppy brother to do the same. He is extremely cautious, and seems to like routines more than surprises or unexpected events. He is the most loving and friendly dog, he has a great temperament and is very patient (we joke that he has an old soul and is more like a person than a dog). He has been easy to train and he picks up things quickly. He even gives hugs and loves to cuddle his face against his dad’s whenever he gets the chance. We are so very happy with our Roosty-boosty.
